An invitation to play one of the newer clubs in the area at a venue like Essex University could not be refused. Although it was Mothers Day and understandably the vast majority of players had responsibilities elsewhere, all those that had their mums permission to play were welcomed at some very nice facilities.
The pitch was booked for the hour and we played four 15 minute games, no subs, team changes at the 15 min mark. This meant that everyone got at least 45 mins football.
Rowhedge fielded most of their regular players and I think it fair to say, were a much better organised unit whilst being very sociable and friendly. Which you can afford to do when you wion 6-0.
A good time had by all, especially in the Students bar, and we look forward to a return fixture.
